June 19th, 2003 . . . . Connie Casallas was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Bad dreams do end.

Connie Casallas  and Alex, the younger of her two sons, were off on a ski trip to Mount Shasta.  Skiing was one of their favorite activities. An icy road and snowy conditions caused their suv to slide off of the road, leaving it dangling precariously on the shoulder of a very steep embankment. They were scared for their lives, not knowing if the vehicle would careen down the slope with them inside.  Mother and son prayed together, asking for safety and rescue.  A stranger stopped to help them, an act of kindness for which they were immensely grateful. Bruised and sore, they survived, as did their car, but nerves were frazzled. Read Connie's entire story...
